Australia reviews antidumping duties on aluminum-zinc coated steel from South Korea, Vietnam

Australia has launched a sunset review into antidumping duties on aluminum-zinc coated steel from South Korea and Vietnam, following an application from domestic producer BlueScope Steel Ltd., Australia’s Anti-Dumping Commission said Feb. 10.

The commission said it will review dumping activities from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2025, to determine any changes to the duties, which will expire on Dec. 24, 2026.

The authority plans to submit a statement of essential facts on or before June 1 and will make a recommendation to the minister around July 15.

The duties and inquiry cover flat-rolled iron and steel products with a width of 600 millimeters or greater, plated or coated with aluminum-zinc alloys, unpainted, and with or without resin coating.

The goods are classified under several tariff subheadings in Schedule 3 to the Customs Tariff Act 1995, including 7210.61.00 with statistical codes 60, 61 and 62, and 7225.99.00 with statistical code 39 for imports from Korea and Vietnam.
